Industrial Sector
Resin and Plastic Manufacturing
Urea-formaldehyde resin: Formed by polycondensation of urea and formaldehyde, used in plywood, plastic products (e.g., buttons, tableware), and adhesives.
Melamine resin: Synthesized from urea, resistant to high temperatures and corrosion, used in laminates and fireproof materials.
Chemical Intermediate
Production of melamine (for flame retardants, coatings), cyanuric acid (swimming pool disinfectant), and foaming agents (e.g., ADC foaming agent).
Feed Additive
Serves as a non-protein nitrogen source for rumen microorganisms in ruminants (e.g., cattle, sheep) to synthesize proteins.
Note: Strict control of dosage is required, as excess can cause ammonia poisoning.
