Agricultural Sector
Nitrogen Fertilizer Supply
Urea contains up to 46% nitrogen, making it a primary raw material for agricultural nitrogen fertilizers. After application to soil, it decomposes into ammonium nitrogen (NH₄⁺) and nitrate nitrogen (NO₃⁻) under the action of urease, which are absorbed by plant roots to promote protein synthesis and growth.
Advantages: Fast-acting, low-cost, and suitable for most crops (e.g., rice, wheat, corn).
Compound Fertilizer Ingredient
Mixed with other fertilizers (e.g., phosphorus, potassium) to produce compound fertilizers, balancing nutrient ratios.
